Always looking, but never actually seeing,
never knowing it would be someone such as you and,
I never knew it was you who stood right behind me,
waiting for the day that I would turn around and see,
It was you who slowed down my speeding tears,
you who gave me reasons to stay when I would try and runaway,
it was you who I could share anything and everything,
never turning away.
I was kind but I was also blind,
to even try and see that you were always there for me,
not the man that thought we were threw,
not the man who said I never ever really even liked you,
It was you who made my tears fade,
you who gave me reasons to stay and get back on my feet,
it was you who I could look in the eye without feeling shy,
never turning away.
It was me that took forever to say thank you,
for all those days that I would cry the most,
you made me laugh at all the silly things,
making me really see,
all of these beautiful things
Now I know that when I turn around,
I'll see you waiting to repair,
but for now I want to help you,
for all those days when you might be in despair.
And for now the tears have dried,
unpacking my bags for which I will stay,
stay in this place where we first knew that,
I will always be right next to you.
